We already know the age your partner is most likely to have an affair, as well as the day of the year people are most likely to be unfaithful. Now, in the latest news on adultery, Britain's top cheating towns and cities have been revealed.
The affluent town of Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent, has been given the title of the nation's cheating capital, with 1,146 people reportedly being unfaithful right now.
According to The Official Infidelity Index 2017, 2.2% of the town's population are currently being unfaithful. And next on the list, which ranks 140 cheating towns across the UK (and Ireland), is Guildford, with 1,303 adulterers (2.1%) seeing someone they shouldn't.
High Wycombe – which was placed in last year's number one spot – is in seventh place this year, while the Welsh town of Barry (wait...isn't that where Stacy and Bryn live?) is officially the least adulterous. The Index found it to be the most faithful place in the country after just 88 adulterers were identified there.
When it comes to cities, there's good news for Londoners. The capital was found to be the fifth most faithful city, while Gloucester was named to be the most adulterous.
But why is everyone cheating on each other? Well apparently the cost of divorce is said to be making matters worse.
"People have had affairs since the dawn of time, but the last decade in particular has seen a large spike," Christian Grant from Illicit Affairs, a website for married people, said.
"The site has grown exponentially, and it's thanks to the turbulent economy and increase in house prices that has left many people financially crippled, unable to divorce should their marriage hit the rocks.
"So, they seek the only other viable alternative that they have: an affair. It's cheaper than a divorce, and it's safer than ever before."
