Rejoice! For we live in enlightened times, where people have learned not to make snap judgements about the moral fortitude of others purely based on the nature of their sex lives.

Oh wait. Nope. Sorry. We've just checked and that's not true at all.

Stylist reports this YouGov research found that a lot of people believe in the old classic 'three-date rule'. One in eight (12%) live by and follow the old mantra that one should not have sex until the third date.

When asked about other people's relationships, 16% of people said three dates was the optimum time for people in general to wait before sleeping with a new partner. That's 18% of men and 14% of women who agree.

Of everyone surveyed, 5% (which works at one in 20 people) said they'd happily wait until they were married to sleep with someone new. One in seven would wait 'until they are in love' before doing the deed, and men were four times as likely to get it on with someone after the first date.

So why do people stick to such arbitrary rules? Probably because loads of men make them regret their decision with these TYPICAL cringeworthy blunders.
