Despite the grim picture of gender equality painted by a certain Donald Trump video you might have seen, new research finds that nine out of 10 women would rather be a woman than a man today. Most interestingly this has almost doubled from a survey in 1947 which found only half would pick their gender.
The poll conducted by Woman's Hour looked as aspects of women's lives including relationships, sex, money, work and looks. Of the 1,004 women surveyed 87% said they would stick with their current husbands and only one in 10 would marry someone different given the choice.
Looks were paramount for 18 to 24-year-olds who picked "fat" as the negative word they would least want to be associated with. However across all age categories "stupid" was the least popular word to be described according to 42% of the women surveyed.
The young, perhaps unsurprisingly, were more satisfied with their sex lives with 24% aged 25 to 34 claimed they were "extremely satisfied" in the bedroom. This was significantly ahead of to 55 to 64 year-olds who were the least likely to be "extremely satisfied."
Maybe Tinder is the answer after all.
