The battle between North and South London is about to get a lot more competitive as new research reveals where city dwellers are getting lucky the most. If you live in Maida Vale, look away now.
At the end of last year Time Out surveyed different cities in their Time Out City Index and this week, for Valentine's Day, they revealed the secrets of Londoners' sex lives. They drilled into everything from how often to how many partners we're doing it with so brace yourself.
The winner when it came to frequency was Kensal Green where 14 per cent of those surveyed in that area were having sex "most days". On the other end of the spectrum, and only down the road, was Maida Vale where inhabitants said they get lucky "less than once a month".
According to the results Clapham was the most "single and looking" area of London where 30 per cent of people were on the hunt for a new partner. Probably doesn't help wearing a Minions costume to the Rugby Sevens, to be fair.
Those living in Whitechapel were most likely to give it up on the first date and people from Ealing were least likely to (it is a long tube ride away after all). It turns out North Londoners play it cool with Highbury crowned the area where people are most likely to date several people at once.
And in sadder news, Elephant & Castle locals are a glum lot as 71% of them said London felt lonely. This coupled with the finding in the Time Out City Index that London is the world's loneliest city means you should probably just move now.
