The camel overcoat has threatened to come in and out of fashion for a few years now. Well, now's a good time to get on board.
Despite being a heavy coat, the camel overcoat is a perfect autumn coat. With it on you can avoid wearing too many layers and sweating buckets once you reach the office.
Keep the rest of the outfit simple (like Nick Grimshaw here, who's teamed it with a chambray shirt and some black denim) and focus on the coat, which is what most people will notice anyway. A camel coat doesn't change much down the years, so we've narrowed it down to two options, affordable and luxury.
The Affordable Option
Topman are always good for at least one must-have item in a season. This season it's their take on the camel coat that's caught our eye. Mixing the best of both worlds, they've used the classic double breasted trench design in wool to create this covetable jacket.

The Luxury Option
Swedish label Our Legacy tweaked the classic with a shawl collar. The shawl collar softens the coat somewhat, making it look a little less Wall Street. And the collar might well look better popped, which may or may not be of interest depending on whether you condone the popped collar in the first place.
