Biker-trusted British brand Belstaff takes a change of direction and shifts gear.
Founded in 1924, Belstaff’s iconic all-weather motorcycle jackets were a staple for British men during the Nineties. Now, under the aegis of new creative director Martin Cooper (formerly of Burberry), the British brand is taking a fresh approach.
Embracing Belstaff’s rich heritage, Cooper has injected the brand with a hefty dose of high-fashion opulence. Looking past the garments for which they’re famed, our pick from the collection is the waxed cotton tote-cum-weekend bag shown here.
But fear not, traditionalists! Alongside updated classic Roadmaster jackets cut from crocodile hide, there are hefty trench coats, chunky shearling jackets and dense woollen roll-neck knits — all an essential part of your winter wardrobe.
