It's been a tough week for Clint Eastwood. After all that business with the chair (a skit that really should've been thought through a little better) it's easy to forget all the good he's done. Let's take a trip down memory lane to remind ourselves that he wasn't always a Grandpa Simpson impersonator.
While Clint Eastwood did look great in a Fistful of Dollars, wearing a poncho and a hat attracts puzzled looks from strangers. Or so we've heard. We prefer this shot of Clint relaxing at home.
Taken in 1959, it captures a time when Eastwood used to sit near chairs instead of talk to them. It's also a great look at how a pair of trousers can be worn casually - a relatively rare sight in this day and age when denim rules all.
If you want to try this at home, it's best to avoid navy and go for a dark grey pair instead. A great option are this pair of Oliver Spencer trousers (Oliver Spencer, £139), which are versatile enough to be worn at work or on the weekend. A simple white t-shirt and plain trainers is all you'll need to finish off this look. And if you see a chair, just walk away slowly.
