Chris O'Dowd has been quietly flying the flag for British style ever since he made the move to the US. Here's just one example of him getting it right.
With starring appearances in Bridesmaids and HBO's Girls, it's fair to say that O'Dowd star is firmly on the rise. And, thankfully, so is his sense of style. He wore the above ensemble at the Gold Cup final, showcasing how to pull off a check blazer.
Perhaps the most important thing in clothing is fit and O'Dowd's blazer fits perfectly. It shows the right amount of cuff and isn't too tight on the body - a common affliction in a society still recovering from skinny jeans.
The suede shoes and trousers complete the look, ensuring he looks good but not too try-hard.
If we were the Daily Mail we'd knock him for not doing his hair to Thunderbird levels of perfection but we're not. And we like that he looks like a real human being, rather than an airbrushed replicant that gets airlifted in and out of photoshoots.
So all in all, a grade A look. We tip our bowler hat to you, Mr O'Dowd. Not that we're wearing a bowler hat right now, that'd be weird.
