Want List | Gieves & Hawkes Jacket

There are jackets and then there are jackets. Make no mistake, this is a jacket.

First, it’s by Gieves &  Hawkes, of No 1 Savile Row. Second, it’s made from a cashmere-mink blend — a fabric of extraordinary softness and lightness, painstakingly sourced from Inner Mongolia (really).

Third, there’s the detail: inverted triangular pocket tabs, mitered pocket facing (all hand finished, naturally) and roped shoulders. Finally, there’s Gieves’s signature single-breasted cut.

Understated luxury is an overused phrase in the fashion industry, but this is the real thing. Sleek, unfussy and incredibly grown-up. (£2,000,Gieves & Hawkes)
