Got a bit of spending money to burn but can't decide whether to spend it on yourself or on more conventionally worthy causes? Do both, thanks to Tommy Hilfiger’s new collection which is tackling poverty stitch by stitch.
Inspired by a recent visit to Uganda, Tommy Hilfiger has created a new capsule collection of polo shirts, shorts and T-shirts, all profits from which will go to the Millennium Promise charity, which aims to eradicate extreme poverty, hunger and preventable disease.
Hilfiger’s collection itself is laudably cheering: pieces are emblazoned with a bright array of African prints (a big trend this season), and, most importantly, the entire collection has also been manufactured in Africa, so there’s no doubting the authenticity of those patterns.
