This weekend, the Supreme banner outside one of the brand's New York store went missing, and it may have turned up for sale on Facebook. The post, which has since been deleted, was from a user named Zoe Godz, who was trying to sell it on a FB group called "Buying and Selling BBC, Bape, Supreme (NYC)" for $666.

Two photos of the alleged banner were also posted, one with it lying on what looks like someone's kitchen floor, and one with a person (possibly Zoe Godz) draped in it on the side of the Hudson river. The original post read, "WE GOT THE BANNER TO NYC SUPREME STORE IF U HAVENT NOTICE ITS GONE ITS CUZ I GOT IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HMU FOR OFFERS SILK MATERIAL LMAO ZOE GOD SHIT."

There's actually been no word from Supreme as to whether this really is the banner, but some think that, if it is, it was stolen to protest last Thursday's cancellation of the Supreme x Louis Vuitton drop in NYC. Actually, we have a couple of theories of our own. The first is that it was stolen to supply fabric for a Supreme three-piece suit knock-off a la Dapper Dan. Another possibility is that it was stolen by a giant who wants to make his own XXXXXXXL box logo tee.

Or maybe, given the scaffolding outside the store, it was just taken down to accommodate some construction going on. Personally, we hope it was the giant.
