Like the Shenzhen Nongke Orchid, finding a guy in the wild who looks great in a leather biker jacket is extremely rare, but it can be done — just look at Dave Franco.

Attending the Los Angeles Film Festival, James' less weird (we reckon so, anyway) younger brother proved that, when chosen carefully, a biker jacket can be so much more than the desperate adornment of a middle-aged try-hard.

This is Dave

The reason it works so well here for Dave is because he's followed the number one rule for wearing a leather jacket: don't do too much with it.

So often men stumble because they think a leather jacket gives them a free pass to be loose and loud with the rest of their outfit, wearing it with baggy jeans, bad trainers, check shirts or over the top of graphic t-shirts. But the leather jacket is a delicate Power Item that needs to be treated as such; working best when worn as the main event around other more understated monochrome pieces.

Despite being dressed for a formal event, Dave follows the winning formula of slim trousers, black shoes and a clean white shirt with no tie (definitely DO NOT wear a tie with a leather jacket), creating a clean look that's replicable even if you don't have a Hollywood budget... Although you should always invest a bit if you're buying leather, it'll only get better with age.
