Continuing our five favourites series is Best-dressed Man panellist Patrick Grant. The ever dapper Norton & Sons owner who brought E. Tautz back to life, chooses his favourite picks from the upcoming autumn collection. 1 Lion Rampant Knit (above)
"We took the idea from a 1920s speedway roll neck jumper (for big winter knits we prefer the balance of durability and softness we get with lamb's wool) and for the Tautz version we used the lion from the King of Spain's Coat of Arms in Hainsworth, gold melton hand-sewn onto a rich burgundy.
2 Pea Coat in Gold
"A classic naval pea-coat in a gloriously rich gold Hainsworth Military melton. This is a simple versatile coat, in an incredible colour."
3 Navy corduroy trouser
"A very elegant, slim cut trouser in a beautiful deep navy cotton corduroy. Very flattering and great with everything in this collection."
4 Navy wool/silk plain tie
"I have worn this tie almost nonstop since we made the samples. It's 70/30 wool silk and it has the most incredible matt handle and a deeply luxurious almost midnight blue colour, and it ties a fantastic knot."
5 Graphite raincoat
"I've always loved proper functional kit. This is made for Tautz by mackintosh, a beautifully slim cut, with just a couple of military details, and the graphite is a calming influence on all of the vivid colour elsewhere in the collection." www.etautz.com/
