Last night saw the launch of London department store Harrods' brand new mens shoe salon.
Not only does the marble-clad, leather chair-filled space play host to an army of loafers, brogues, oxfords, derbies and boots from all the usual suspects, including Stemar, Tom Ford and Church's, but it also features a range of more contemporary pieces from Prada, Kurt Geiger and British shoemaker Mr. Hare.
The most exciting element of the new space? The exotics room. Featuring an array of styles cut from an eclectic range of skins including ostrich, alligator and snake, the pièce de résistance (for some) will no doubt be the £12,000, gold-laced alligator loafer from Italian brand Stemar. Not for the faint of foot.
