One of the brands to emerge from the heap of ethically-crafted, honestly made labels is One Nine Zero Six, a subsidiary of Gymphlex. While One Nine Zero Six is a new twist to their tale, Gymphlex has been around for over 100 years, manufacturing for the likes of Barbour and Burberry as well as the military, British schools and sports stars.
So it only makes sense that they'd team up with Jeff Griffin of Griffin Studio to create this line that makes use of the Gymphlex's factory's clothing expertise, merging it with some interesting design ideas and focus on fabrics. So, aside from design quirks, they've also worked on exclusive fabrics, including a 'raw flannel' created by collaborating with Fox Brothers.
The resulting effect is a line that's as classic as you'd expect design-wise and as forward thinking as you would expect from any company involved in sportswear. They've even created, and we quote here, 'the perfect chino'. If nothing else, they'll catch your attention by sheer boldness. The brand officially launches in autumn, with Start, B-Store, Daniel Jenkins and CHCM amongst the official stockists.
