Gucci Goes Truly Global

Ever at the forefront of fashion innovation, Italian fashion house Gucci will today screen it's menswear Autumn Winter '11 show (taking place this lunchtime in Milan's Piazza Oberdan) live online for all the world to see at 12.30 pm.

Once privy to a privileged few, many brands are beginning to realise the value of involving the people that actually buy their clothes in the seasonal shows. Though Tom Ford went the opposite direction by keeping last season's womenswear collection hidden from all but a select few, the insatiable rise of the blog has seen such secrecy become superfluous - so well done Gucci for spearheading a more pluralistic approach to fashion.
