Christmas. A time of joy. When considered, beautiful gifts are given and and crappy Christmas jumpers are received. Thankfully, these days I have enough self control to prevent myself from ransacking my parent’s house searching for presents and, better still, I'm free to choose my own Christmas knit.
A childhood of Christmases spent wearing snowflake-adorned wooly warmers has obviously inspired me, as I have now amassed a pretty decent selection of jumpers, cardis and knits. My favourites? Missoni. Spurred on by my Italian roots (at least that’s what I tell the ladies) I love the design house’s technicoloured, kaleidoscope designs and the menswear improves with every season.
I can’t stand poor quality knitwear that pills at the lightest touch, and Missoni wears like a dream. It is, without a doubt, one of the finest knitwear brands out there. Plus; Missoni styles are limited in production and you won’t find many stockists in the UK - especially outside London - so you won't be in danger of walking into a party to find three of your mates wearing the same recognisable zigzag stripes.
For the as yet uninitiated, above are a few of my favourite pieces from Missoni's spring summer 2011 collection. Visit www.missoni.com for more.
