The lazy man's roll neck

While the resurgence of the roll neck is naught but a good thing, for some the shape is still fraught with pitfalls, given that up until only recently it was still considered a style faux pas.

A halfway house can be found in the the form of the high neck cardigan, which has the same look as the roll neck when buttoned up to the top, but the added functionality of being able to be folded down. It also makes for a nice alternative to the omnipresent shawl collar.
