Get the look - Ryan Gosling

Currently trudging the promotion circuit for his new flick, Blue Valentine, Ryan Gosling - much to our excitement - has been experimenting with his style on the red carpet. From blue velvet smoking jackets to suede camel bombers, Gosling has demonstrated a level of sartorial flair beyond all expectation.

Regardless of his stylist's hand in the transformation, we're impressed. Out on top is the grey double breasted suit Gosling wore last month to a screening at Hollywood's Grauman's Chinese Theatre, pictured above. The oversized lapels and immaculate cut give the traditional style a contemporary twist.

Gosling get the look

Double breasted blazer by Burberry Prorsum, £798; Cord trousers by A. Sauvage, £295;
Honeycomb shirt by Zegna Sartorial, £158, all from www.matchesfashion.com

Though we're big fans of the two-piece, this season it's all about separates, so why not play with the look by adding some camel chords - this slimfit pair from A. Sauvage should do the trick. Team with a crisp white shirt and - whether or not you choose to don a tie (a knitted navy style would work here) - you're pretty much set for whatever the day may throw at you, red carpet or otherwise.
