It comes but twice a year (and more often than not we need the in-between time to sleep it off) but fashion week is one of the most important six days in our annual calendar. While we're getting on with all the usual guff - the shows, parties and after-parties are coming thick and fast - this London Fashion Week seems to be throwing out a few creative curve balls, which we're enjoying rather a lot.
One extra-curricular event worthy of note is the fifteen day-long pop-up store from super-luxe French sportswear brand Pyrenex Premium, set in the sumptuous surrounds of The Air Gallery on Dover Street.
Though it's the first time ever that Pyrenex has been sold on British soil (and it's been going for a good hundred years or so), the real reason to celebrate is that the clever minds south of Calais have teamed up with couturier Alexis Mabille - of YSL fame - to create a super-luxe range, including glossy padded jackets teamed with gigantic fur trims, punchy Graphic-print gillets and ultra-slim quilted bombers. Did somebody say winter wardrobe?
