We talk from experience when we say a week at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in Scotland really is the experience of a lifetime.
If it's not enough to be rubbing shoulders with the likes of Bill Murray (above), Samuel L Jackson and a galaxy of golf-loving stars from sport, film and music you also get to play three of the top courses in the world - alongside some of the best professional players - and enjoy Alfred Dunhill's unique brand of hospitality.
Well, amateur golfers are now being offered the chance to play in the 2010 tournament, staged at St Andrews, neighbouring Kingsbarns and the famed Carnoustie links from October 7-10. One exclusive amateur playing place in the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship - celebrating its 10th anniversary - is up for auction through www.givinglots.co.uk - but hurry as bids close on September 14.
The winning bid will secure a playing spot in the tournament, five nights accomodation for two at an official tournament hotel (breakfast included), airport transfers from Edinburgh and invitations to the championship's exclusive social events as honoured guests (and trust us, these events are amazing!). Funds raised from the auction will be donated to the Prostate Cancer Charity.
