The Parisian headquarters of Yves Saint Laurent must be an exhilarating place with Stefano Pilati at the helm. Steering the brand back to its Gallic roots over the past six years, Pilati has long embraced multimedia platforms in the presentation of his work, using video in a bid to give fashion a “broader, more democratic reach.”

For his Collection Homme Printemps/Eté 2011 , Pilati has once again turned to celluloid, this time in the shape of a stunning short by Dutch photographer and filmmaker Ari Marcopoulos. Making its premier in Paris at today's show, the film is a meditation on the compelling world of Los Angeles tattoo artist, Mark Mahoney.
