If this polished monolith is giving you a mild dose of déjà-vu (no, we're not referring to its vague resemblance to Eighties' TV automaton Bertha), that's probably because this Bentley Mulsanne is a re-imagining of the company's iconic four-door, 6.75-litre V8 sedan manufactured in the era of Michael Fish and Pop Tarts.

Unveiled yesterday, few details have been divulged on the specifics of the new flagship's attributes, but you can guarantee that an automobile named after the only straight at Le Mans where performance race cars can reach top speed - a track at which Bentley has won six times - is probably going to be able to travel at retina-dislodging speeds. Albeit it in the comfort of a rarified, hand-crafted cockpit.
