With Cannes in full swing, it seems that the glamour of the French Riviera has most definitely infiltrated Brad Pitt’s wardrobe. His latest sartorial choice, the summer scarf, is evocative of Cary Grant in How To Catch A Thief, but perhaps lacks the same level of panache.
Pitt gets points for his latest dandy effort, but if he wants to wear a summer scarf then he needs to do it properly. Esquire’s Executive Style Editor Mansel Fletcher suggests a neater execution in printed silk would be more appropriate. Pitt’s somewhat wintry suggestion in fabric and colour palette is fairly uninteresting, and he should really have tied the scarf before he did up the shirt. Not that any of this will prevent us from either wearing ours, or indeed going to see Pitt’s latest screen offering, Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds (whatever the early critics are saying...)
