Wardrobe Essential - 4 Ways To Work A Harrington

In the world of fashion, garments come in and out of favour as quickly as glasses of post-show champagne are guzzled.

Remember the palazzo pant trend (yes, for men) that lasted all of 10 seconds in A/W‘08? Us neither.

One constant that can be turned to season after season, though, is the trusty Harrington jacket.

Worn in wool in the winter or cotton and linen in the summer, a well-fitted Harrington is flattering (the high collar and loosely tailored shape works on most) and it can be smartened up or dressed down as required.

This season, channel the likes of Steve McQueen and Paul Newman and wear yours in a bright shade with a pair of
chinos.

Alternatively, for an up-to-the minute take on the style, sport one over the top of a grey windowpane check
suit.
