The summer’s most prominent shade, found on shirts, shoes, jackets and chinos at Lanvin, Hermès, Zegna and Asos, is big, bold mustard. 

Brighter than Meaux, yellower than Dijon and not quite as fluorescent as American, the condiment of reference is good old-fashioned Colman’s.
