Calling all Ferrari 458 Italia owners… Well, if you did they might soon be picking up on this new mobile from high–end manufacturer Vertu. Ferrari design director Flavio Manzoni and the Vertu design team have toiled to create this handset, which takes inspiration from the Ferrari 458 Italia.
The sapphire crystal screen, calf leather and polished black ceramic is all top quality, but it's the understated branding that is a pleasant surprise on the Constellation Quest Ferrari. This model also sees the debut of a newly modified DLC (diamond-like carbon) coating on the handset. This coating, due to its ability to resist extreme conditions, abrasion and pressure, is also used for engine parts in Ferrari GT and Formula 1 cars.
Being a Vertu, not only is the phone staggeringly expensive, it has to have concierge services, naturally – and this duly comes with exclusive offerings, including the opportunity to take part in unique Ferrari events around the world. So dust off the 458, gentlemen. (£8,400, www.vertu.com)
