The Bugatti Chiron promises to be incredibly fast, but the rumors of a 288 mph top speed might have been exaggerated: It has a top speed that is limited to 261 mph.

Quattroruote is at Geneva and just tweeted out this shot of a spec sheet from the floor of the show:

What did we find out? It has 1500 horsepower and 1180 lb-ft of torque from an 8.0 liter, quad-turbocharged W16 with something Bugatti calls "2-stage turbocharging." It's all-wheel drive with a seven-speed DSG, but there's no word on a hybrid powertrain like we were expecting it may have.

The biggest news is that the top speed is limited to just 261 mph, which is six mph less than the Veyron Super Sport could achieve. Perhaps the Chiron can go the rumored 288 with the limited disengaged. We'll know more about the Chiron shortly.
