Award-winning hi-fi specialist brand Monitor Audio has stepped soundly into the dock market with the i-Deck 200, and although this digital player is reasonably compact, it is without question powerful.

In fact, you'll find audio grunt here in spades. Backed by two 50W 100mm C-CAM bass drivers and two 20W 25mm gold dome tweeters, it also features an nifty Automatic Phase Correction (APC) system — this tech gubbins basically means that the dock fires out sound pulses once it's turned on, works out where it is located in a space (in a corner, against a wall, standing alone) and then sets itself up, sound-wise, accordingly. Bass Level Management  keeps those low frequencies in play at reduced volumes, too. The i-Deck 200 may not have all the bells and whistles (sadly there is no AirPlay support), but those looking for a system with superior sound and the muscle to effortlessly fill large rooms will be more than pleased.
