iOS 10 looks pretty fun, doesn't it? With its firework animations, scribbles and on-demand lyrics (so you can start screeching the correct words on the bus, for once.)

But hold your horses there, because iOS 10 could prove to be a lot more hassle than it's worth - especially if you own an older model iPhone.

Firstly, it'll almost definitely slow your device down unless you own a brand spanking new iPhone 7. While it's compatible with iPhone 5s, it'll lead to sluggish boot-ups and longer-loading apps.

And it's the newer features that are set to put the biggest weight on old-school iPhones.

The fresh stock of GIFs, stickers, effects and animations are set to pack out your memory, especially if you're only on an 8GB model.

But then, who needs music when you've got stickers?

Of course, you can't expect four year old technology to be able to handle all of the new-fangled features and upgrades that modern updates introduce – but there's no point in putting a perfectly serviceable iPhone through the grinder just for the sake of a few GIFs.

But the question is: can you resist it?
