App of the week - iPing

This app from putter gurus Ping uses the accelerometers and gyroscopes in your iPod/iPhone to analyse your stroke type, impact angle and tempo. The iPing will tell you where you are going wrong, right and even compare your efforts to Ping tour pros. It’s the Ping cradle that costs the cash (£25) - the app to make this golfing aid work is free to download. The good news is that once you have it, you can hone your stroke at home on the carpet until you have the putting consistency of a pro. Well, it has to be worth a try. ping.com
