The iPhone 8 rumour mill has been on overdrive: Bronze is the new rose gold, finger prints are out, it's all about facial recognition, that and wireless charging.

Even McDonald's got in on the hype, and "coincidentally" leaked the iPhone 8 design on their app.

Although they were quick to release a statement saying: "Similarity to any other design is coincidental". Sure, Ronald.

While this is all good, we have been missing that all important detail of when we can actually get our hands on one.

But thanks to Mac4Ever it's looking as though the release date could just be September 12th after all.

A little less than three weeks.

While 12 September has been flagged as a potential release date before, Mac4Ever have got a tip off from a French telecoms network, who are in the midst of sorting staff rotas and, you know, generally building up to that big reveal.

Apple are yet to make an official date of it, but if they follow their usual launch strategy, as Mac4Ever have suggested, the handset could be up for pre-order the Friday after launch (15th), and go on sale a week later.

Now all you need is about £1K for that rumoured RRP.

Good luck with that.
