If you&aposve been following our games coverage in Esquire recently, you&aposll be aware that we&aposre huge fans of Rockstar&aposs epic Red Dead Redemption. We long ago finished the single-player campaign (one of the best storylines around) and have been slaking our New Austin gunfight addiction with the online multiplayer (our tech editor is currently holding the office wooden spoon).

But those Rockstar developers must have known we were beginning to get too comfortable with the online missions currently available (apart from our tech editor), because from Tuesday, 10 August, a whole new multiplayer pack — Legends & Killers — will be rolled out.

We&aposve played the new missions and can tell you the highlights of the nine added multiplayer map locations include an epic Blackwater battle, clever use of the natural bottleneck at Thieves&apos Landing and a close-quarters mountain map which initially looks simple, as if running around boulders might be dull, but in fact lends itself to superb surprise encounters.

Talking of close quarters, one of the pack&aposs finest additions is the new weapon those who hand over the £8 on PSN or 800 points on Xbox Live get to wield — the tomahawk. Once you have felled a foe with a keenly timed axe throw before he&aposs even raised his Schofield, you&aposll be hooked.

If you fancy a match, you&aposll find us online tonight — and if you want an easy kill, look out for our tech editor.
