Jaguar has designed a speedboat. Yes.Though sadly it's just a concept model, and thus unable to buy (unless you're a particularly bored Saudi Sheikh/oligarch), the Concept Speedboat nonetheless offers a tantalising taste of what a Jaguar-designed speedboat might be like.
Unveiled at the launch of the Jaguar XF Sportbrake (pictured above), the sleek boat comes with a gel coat fibreglass hull and carbon fibre fin (inspired by the iconic Jaguar D-Type) and is finished on top with a natural teak decking. A polished aluminium propeller and pop-up mooring post imitates how the boat could be powered and docked respectively.
Designed in conjunction with consultants Ivan Erdevicki Naval Architecture & Yacht Design Inc. and Seventy Seven Design, the Concept Speedboat might be the perfect luxury plaything, were it not for the fact that it doesn't exist.
