We like the look of Phaidon's iPad edition of their Design Classics coffee table book, which gives you instant access to 1,000 pieces of classic design, from Marcel Breuer to Dieter Rams, each beautifully presented and explained. It includes entries on everything from the paper clip and the cardboard egg box to the folding Polaroid camera and the iPod. Whether or not they've made room for a new entry on the iPad — well, you'll just have to wait until the end of the month to find out.
