Need to save money on your light bill, in style? Then these lights will be right up your (surprisingly well-lit) alley.

You’ve just got your electricity bills after a cold winter. It’s not a pretty sight. You’ve decided to cut back. Maybe you’ve started wearing long johns around the house (remember, look to Uniqlo’s offering on that front). Maybe you’re turning off the laptop rather than putting it on standby. It’s the little things. One thing that would help are lights that don’t need electricity. Luckily, this seemingly futuristic product already exists.

Called the Schproket light, it was created by designer Christopher Moulder. A creator of furniture, Moulder specialises in lighting solutions. He’s more than that, though, he's a 'composer of light' - the Messi of bulbs, if you will. He created the Schproket because he wanted a light fixture that didn’t need a power socket or use wires. The solution he came up with was using low voltage bulbs, using high efficiency Xenon long lasting bulbs. By using a lot of these bulbs he’s created these mood lights, which need no electricity, don’t have to be placed near a socket and can be called mood lights without cringing. Get these and look forward to your next EDF Energy bill.
