If you're down and out in London tonight and need a bit of spiritual succour, you'd be advised to head to Shoreditch where The Welcome Wagon are doing a rare UK appearance. Not only are the Reverend Thomas Vito Aiuto and his wife Monique two of the hottest folk protégés from Sufjan Stevens' Asthmatic Kitty label, he's also a real-live Reverend! And she's really his wife!
Having been coaxed away from the Resurrection Presbyterian Church in Williamsburg, New York, where the Reverend Vito is pastor, The Welcome Wagon will play a one-off gig this evening, no doubt including songs from their excellent debut album Welcome To The Welcome Wagon. There are still tickets available to join the throng St Leonard's Church, E1, and you can buy them here. Godless are also welcome.
