Last week Rolls Royce showed its 200EX car in London and we were there to have a nose around.

While officially a concept it's very similar to the forthcoming Ghost, which will go on sale next year. Dubbed the 'Baby Rolls' by the motoring press the 200EX is in fact longer than either a 7 Series or an S Class, even if it is slightly less imposing than the Phantom (and due to be significantly cheaper).

It's a great looking machine, and promises to be more of a driver's car than any of the Phantoms, but the detail that really convinced us that this is the car for the well-heeled Esquire reader is a retractable parcel shelf in the boot designed to store a suit jacket, or folded shirt, flat and uncreased.

Your girlfriend, meanwhile, will be equally delighted by the motorised handbag holder between the back seats. www.rolls-roycemotorcars.com
