This crazy-looking project from Mercedes has been designed with the future Highway Patrol car in mind, featuring terrain-adjusting wheels and beefy RoboCop looks. And whilst it might strike you as a beast of a gas guzzler, it's actually supposed to be completely environmentally friendly - a 'hydro-tech converter' converts water into gas, so that the only thing the exhaust emits is water vapour.
Yes it's all a bit of a futuristic fantasy, but the Ener-G-Force is loosely based on the legendary Mercedes-Benz G-Class whose lineage runs all the way back to the 1970s. Some have even suggested that it’s a (very) subtle hint at Mercedes’ plans for a high-end SUV to take on the Range Rover...
