Having too many cables in your house can be really irritating (admittedly, a bit of a #middleclassproblem) but the Jongo A2, a wireless multiroom adapter, plans to do something about it.
The small gadget converts audio systems like your hi-fi into a music streaming device, so you can play music from your phone, laptop or tablet to your music player without having loads of cables all over the place.
It’s both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth enabled - the Bluetooth allows casual streaming of your music to your hi-fi from a mobile, laptop or tablet, while the Wi-Fi can be used to go ‘multiroom’ and play your music through Jongo’s wireless speakers, which you can buy separately.
Using the Wi-Fi does require the Pure Connect app; a streaming service not unlike Spotify. It’s free to download, costs £4.99 a month and gives you access to radio stations, podcasts and music. Playing music from your phone through bluetooth to your Hi-Fi, though, won’t cost anything.
The Jongo A2 might have just made synching devices a lot cooler but, as the hashtag goes to show, there are sadly still a lot more #middleclassproblems to deal with.
