Portable wireless speakers have transformed the way we consume music.

Moved from bedroom to bathroom, slung in a bag to take to a house party or the car boot to take on holiday, they’ve provided the biggest shift in music consumption since the iPod.

That said, all that convenience has often been offset by sound quality. Spaced360, a new speaker launched today, goes a good way to redressing that.

Rigorously engineered and using something called ‘airSOUND technology’, Spaced360 uses three 2” neodymium speakers and three mass-loaded bass radiators, all equally spaced apart to push out warm, properly good club-level sound, wherever you stand in the room.

Unlike other box-shaped speakers, they don’t only sound good when you stand right in front of them. Eight hours of music playback on one charge, a pick-up-and-go 1kg weight, active NFC and a not-ridiculous price tag means that we might just have found summer’s first must-have gadget.
