The Hottest Wheels Of The ‘70s Is Back

Relive your childhood with the iconic Raleigh Hot One Chopper

If you always wanted a flaming red Raleigh Hot One for Christmas but were always left feeling disappointed, don’t worry because the iconic 1970s has just been re-issued.

Inspired by creator Alan Oakley’s fact-finding trip to America to “get to grips with youth culture”, the original Raleigh first brought American cool to the flare-clad youth of Britain in 1968.

Inspired by the dragster designs of the Hell’s Angels customised bikes, British sales of the Raleigh were given a huge boost when Dennis Hopper and Peter Fonda tore across cinema screens in Easy Rider.

The reissue sees the return of the classic three-gear bike, complete with “ape hanger” handlebars, alloy breaks and the iconic 20” fat rear tyre – perfect for soaking up the last of the summer with a lazy evening cruise around the block.
