Attention all those mourning the demise of Polaroid film - chin up! An exhibition heralding the technology’s renaissance is just around the corner.

Dutch photography company The Impossible Project is to thank for the medium’s reprieve. Created by a group of ex-Polaroid employees, Impossible has allied with London’s Aria design shop to host a photography show that promises to satisfy those whose instant analogue itch isn’t scratched by Instagram alone.

Featuring new Polaroid imagery from photographers RuvanWijesooriya and Kasia Bobula, the exhibition is an unashamed celebration of a 1980s technology for which a revival is long overdue.

Tapping into the general nostalgia, Aria also announced that it is to begin stocking reconditioned editions of the pleasingly blocky Polaroid 660 camera, as well as a new range of compatible instant film from Impossible. Surely enough to keep even the most ardent Polaroid-lover happy?
