This week in Las Vegas, the latest cutting-edge consumer goods are being unveiled to the bleary, hungover, sin-heavy eyes of the world's technology media at the annual Consumer Electronics Show. What's caught our eye? These headphones for starters.

Packed with features you probably expect now from high-end headphones including noise-cancelling, bluetooth connectivity and Digital Sound Processing (for a sound in front, concert hall effect), they also show off some neat new touches including a swipable panel on the outside of the right earpiece for volume and track-skipping, plus a sensor that pauses music when you remove the headphones and restarts when you put them back on. Like the minimalist black and silver design from the workaholic Phillipe Starck wasn't enough to spark our interest. If you want them, you'll have to wait for full launch details. And join the queue.  Price and launch date tbc
