This summer's haircuts are going back to the classics

Having long catered for the well-groomed men of Mayfair, London’s best barber Brent Pankhurst branches out with his first standalone barbershop, in Soho. Heed his advice!

The Cut
“In spring, you want a clean, fresh cut,” Pankhurst says, “so go for a timeless short back and sides, like Montgomery Clift. It looked modern in the Fifties and it still looks modern now.”

The Treatment
“Wash, then towel-dry. Wear it side-parted or straight back. It suits just about everybody. And don’t bother with too much product. With this style, the haircut’s the star.”

The Accessory
“I always use a Kent comb. They’re handmade and can’t be beaten on quality.”

USP
With bespoke Bentley leather seats, Sinatra playing and McQueen on the walls, Pankhurst might be the ultimate gentleman’s hangout.
