So, you’ve got the moisturiser, the deodorant, the body wash and the electric toothbrush – but somehow they’re just not living up to expectations. Your face still fails to resemble that of a young Marlon Brando, your armpits still go a bit vinegary a few hours after your shower, your body wash doesn’t make said shower feel like a religious experience and your toothbrush, well, it hasn’t made your teeth as white as Simon Cowell’s. Our arsenal of supercharged grooming essentials is here to help try and remedy that. We’ve sourced six of the best new products, all designed to give your morning grooming regime a boost – and then some.
1 | The deodorant
Genius in a roll-on, this. Not only is L’Oréal’s brand new anti-perspirant affordable, it’s designed to prevent irritating white marks from appearing on your T-shirts and it also stops the underarms of white shirts discolouring. Marvellous.
2 | The toothbrush
Coming in at a cool 200 quid, Oral-B’s sleek looking 5000 power brush achieves 40,000 pulsations and 8,800 oscillations per minute, removing 100 per cent more plaque than a manual toothbrush.
3 | The shaver
Braun’s new shaver has been designed to completely eradicate shaving irritation. Containing, and we quote, “Thermo-Electric-Cooling technology”, the shaver’s integrated aluminum cooling bar transports heat away from the skin – keeping the face cool and smooth. Clever.
Braun CoolTec shaver, £199
4 | The moisturiser
The latest addition to New York brand Kiehl’s Facial Fuel stable – Heavy Lifting is a hard hitting, firming, lifting, super-effective anti-aging concoction designed specifically for men’s thicker skin.
5 | The fragrance
A contemporary classic, Chanel’s Bleu is one of the best year-round scents on the market. Energetic and vibrant with notes of pink pepper, vetiver and ginger, it’s been released for autumn in a gigantic 300ml form.
Bleu de Chanel cologne, £150
6 | The body wash
Molton Brown’s new 4-in-1 Sportswash is so much more than a shower gel. Part body wash, part shampoo, part face wash and part shave gel, it’s the hardest working member of your bathroom cabinet. And at £16, it’s an investment.
