The latest grooming craze is for big, bold fragrances. Apply sparingly, for all our sakes.
Once confined to the floral, floaty world of female fragrance, eau de parfums are stronger, bolder and purer than their more common eau de toilette equivalents.
Though the very reason these fragrances have been historically preferred by the fairer sex is due to their greater strengths, brands have acknowledged men are looking for bolder, statement scents and started producing both classics and new releases in EDP form.
Containing anywhere between eight and 15 per cent pure fragrance — as opposed to the 4 and 8 per cent found in your average eau de toilette — a dab of EDP behind the ears will last nearly twice as long as a spray of something more diluted.
Granted, an eau de parfum will set you back more than weaker options, but in the long run it’s a savvy investment. Here is our selection of four of the finest.
