Justin Timberlake: the outtakes

It was an energetic cover shoot back in September when Esquire met Justin Timberlake in a photographic studio in New York's Meatpacking District. The 30-year-old was on shape-pulling form as these extra shots by photographer Benni Valsson for our December issue (out now) go to show.

The boy-bander, turned R&B star, turned Saturday Night Live contributor, turned action lead was in London this week for the In Time premiere, but after this, he admits to having nothing in the diary. After 20 years of work, he's taking a break. In the short-term, that means re-doing his apartment and playing golf with his dad.

"The plan is not to have a plan. I'll probably travel, but I'd rather be spontaneous. I feel like I've earned at least a little bit of time to do that."
