Got a man brag yet?

Louis Vuitton’s customisable Taiga case is the only carry-all you’ll ever need.

The bag is a surprisingly difficult accessory to pull off. As a general rule, your satchel/day bag/”computer case” should fit your laptop, phone, keys, wallet and spare jumper without looking cramped.

Too big and you’ve got yourself a holdall. Too small, and you’re in handbag territory. Louis Vuitton’s beautifully simple new range of Taiga cases present a failsafe option.

Spacious enough to conceal the essentials — with room for your requisite scraps of paper, chewing gum pellets and dog-eared receipts, the case is elegantly cut from Vuitton’s iconic deep-grain Taiga leather, and is fully customisable with everything from top handles and shoulder straps to inside compartments and colourways adaptable to your taste.

The bags
Two styles of Taiga bag are available to customise - The Neo Igor features edge dyed leather piping alongside a D-ring for keys and zipped and flat pockets inside. The Neo Alexander features all the aforementioned with the addition of an adjustable shoulder strap and padded laptop compartment.

The customisation
First, you choose the bag you want. Next, you choose both the colour of the leather and the colour of the lining (grey, blue, brown or burgundy). Finally there is a choice of interior compartment — personal, business, iTech or standard — each offering a different functionality designed around you; tech-heads will be pleased to learn that both BlackBerrys and iPhones are catered to.

The time
It takes a full eight weeks, from consultation to creation, to complete a personalised Taiga bag; the same as the Mon Monogram service.

The price
Fully personalized the Neo Igor costs £1,950 while the Neo Alexander will set you back £2,460.

The details
All the Taiga’s zips, buckles and fastenings are crafted from brass and finished in high shine palladium.

The leather
Vuitton’s tactile Taiga leather is used mainly for the brand’s business items and it's the very first leather line dedicated entirely to men. The leather used on the new bags is also softer to the touch.
