Smart buy - Sandqvist backpack

This summer has shown that the backpack is very much back, but the shift has been going on for a while. Brit designer Christopher Shannon kicked things off when he sent a host of bright, strapped up styles down the runway in 2009. Cut from canvas in an adaptable shade of navy, the tan and peach leather details are bold and its restrained aesthetic means it can be worn with everything. And you needn’t cross the North Sea to buy one — the range is available from Asos, and at just over £100 it’s a pretty reasonable investment.
